The sample opens with an invitation for students to express concerns to faculty, since we know that issues of academic dishonesty often arise when students feel anxiety or stress. Instructors may adapt the following sample language to address academic integrity for classes that are taught fully or partially online.

Instructors may wish to invite students to contribute their thoughts to the creation of agreed community expectations to promote student ownership and understanding of class policies. Instructors can also consider the use of grading and assessment structures that promote academic integrity.
